Love.

Love is a complicated thing. It's the best thing in the world and the worst. Love is doing everything in your power to make someone happy, it's compromise, arguments, happiness, and laughter. Usually it's just a lot of work, but the happy times make it all worth it. Love is caring for someone and doing whatever it takes. It's being there through the thick and thin. In life theres a lot of "thin" and maybe a bit less "thick." When you love someone you should be there for them all the time, if not more so in the thin. Love is putting a smile on for someone else even when you are having the worst day; you put on the smile because you know they need it. You might not always want to be the one that tries to be the happy uplifting one, but you do what you need to do because it's your job to be there. Love is never leaving someone out in the cold. When you love someone the worst thing in the world is to see them hurt. It makes you want to pick the world up and change it just for them. The world can't always be changed though, so that's why understanding is also very important. Understanding on both sides of the relationship is important. Love can also be hard. It's not always the fun butterflies and hugs & kisses. Sometimes love is arguing and distance, missing and crying. But it's okay, because it's so worth it. Every second that it's hard there are so many happy times to match up and overcome the sad. Love is security. It's knowing you have your best friend there for you no matter what. Love is being thankful for every second that you have.
